On Saturday the 5th and Sunday the 6th of June, East Coast Blaze Inline Hockey Club hosted their 6th Valley Vase Tournament in the Valley Leisure Centre. Ten teams took part in this competition, local teams East Coast Blaze, Bangor Chiefs, Belfast Bruins, Northern Cyclones and the Armagh Stars, from the South of Ireland were Kilkenny Storm and Kilkenny Bandits and from England London Titans and Chelmsford Stars.  Anticipation was that this tournament would be an action packed, exciting and skillfull weekend of hockey and the teams which took part did not dissappoint. After a fantastic day of hockey on Saturday East Coast Blaze hosted a party in The Loft Mallusk, which was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by all, thanks to the Loft proprieters for sponsoring East Coast Blaze. 

Sunday brought high competition from all teams fighting to be crowned Champions. The Final was between the Titans and the Bruins, and what a game it turned out to be. From the beginning both teams were giving it everything the had, first goal came 3 mins in for the Belfast Bruins #12 Gareth Martin and the second by his team mate #19 Gareth Roberts at 3 mins in, but their confidence is stunted when the Titans PY Gerbeau scores a short time later, and again near the end of the 1st period score Titans 2 Bruins 2. The second period gets off to a flying start with Py Gerbeau for the Titans and a hattrick for him knocking a rebound in and within moments #18 Neil Black for the Bruins making a lovely shot levelling the score once again, the fans are chewing their nails! The next goal comes 2 mins 30 in #14 Craig Findlow from the Titans scores taking them into the lead.  The pace of the game never lets up, the Titans increase their lead with goals by #21 Jae Paxman and the Finishing goal from #4 Tom Avery crowning the Titans Valley Vase Champions 2010.

The awards ceremoney followed immediately after, the following players were honoured :
